NEW! 15 Possibilities & More

15 Possibilities

After receiving several requests for doily patterns created for 6mm and 8mm beads, I expanded my collections. Many of my NEWer patterns now come in 4 sets: 4L, 6L4M & 8M, 6M & 8L, SCOPE.

The number represents the bead size the pattern was created for (though they can be used with other bead sizes). When you see multiple numbers, it means the pattern is made for all listed bead sizes (ex. 6L4M was created with 6mm and 4mm beads in mind). The letter represents the finished size:
L = Large about 15" in diameter, M = Medium about 10" in diameter. Click Here to learn more about the different beads beading beaded doily pattern sizes available.

What is the process?

Beads: With the patterns on this site, you can use just about any bead that is uniform in size. I have used Delica, Seed, Plastic Faceted, and Glass beads to create my large patterns. For my small patterns I have also used Swarovski Crystal beads. You can see many samples in the Gallery.

Beading: The stitch that I use to create my patterns is very similar to the Right Angle Weave. If you have used this weave, you may see the simularities. You can find lots of great information and tutorials to download on the How-to page.

Beaded Doilies: Many of the patterns on this site are for creating Beaded Doilies. However, I have used my small doily patterns with Delica beads to create earrings, and with Swarovski Crystal I have created a 3 tier suncatcher. So, with a little creativity, you can make many things with these patterns.

You may also find patterns using this same technique for creating bracelets and other lovely items.
